As our days start to be filled with warmer weather and we find ourselves outside more, next time you’re at your favourite swimming or fishing see if you find one or two! Hag stones, also known as witch stones or holey stones, are popular stones for their mystical and protective properties. Typically found on beaches or riverbanks and feature naturally formed holes, often caused by the erosive action of water over time. It is said that these holes serve as portals to the spirit world and when peering through them allows you to see faeries, elemental beings & spirits. Carrying a hag stone allows positive energy to flow through while warding off negative forces, curses & hexes. Additionally, they are thought to enhance intuition and spiritual connections if used during meditation or placed near a bed for beneficial dreams, which they can also ward off nightmares too. They are even said to grant wishes - if we're lucky enough! So if you happen to find or be gifted a Hag stone, or you already have one in your collection, I would love to see it.
