It's time to rest your Soul

Close your eyes darling and allow your soul to rest
Stop! Slow down & take a minute to catch your breath
With kindness and compassion turn to yourself and say
“I forgive you for all the mistakes you feel you may have made”

For it is not a mistake to love
Nor is it wrong to care
To want to see the best within people
Holding on to hope they still reside in there

And if they don’t turn up
Don’t shoulder the blame
You’re not responsible for others
There’s no need to be ashamed

Those feelings you are hiding from
The ones that run so deep,
Are weighing heavily on you right now,
And perhaps reasons you find it difficult to sleep

So close your eyes darling
and allow your soul to rest
Take time out of your day and acknowledge you’ve simply done your best

Sit with your emotions
Ride out the waves
Give yourself the love
It so desperately craves
