Winter Solstice
How to get the most out of the Winter Solstice
SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE

Winter Solstice for the Southern Hemisphere is almost upon us, and with this comes the shortest day tomorrow, and darkness looms for the longest night when the southern pole tilts furthest from the Sun.
It also marks the beginning of a new solar year as it was believed that on this day, the moon would give birth to the sun.
Winter Solstice is a time for hibernation, it asks us to go within, to face our darkest fears. It’s a time of rest & reflection, then as we slowly move towards more light-filled days, we will emerge again awakened & refreshed.
We seem to be programmed to fear our own darkness and suppress or hide away from our not so pleasant emotions because they are uncomfortable, inconvenient or we feel wrong, acknowledge and sit with them.
Emotions much like the solstice are all about balance, you need to remind yourself you are entitled to have days that are darker. However to not let the darkness overshadow you and to use it as a chance to save your power for personal growth & transformation instead.
Don’t pressure yourself to make changes now but let the energy flow in with new ideas & inspirations that will build up within. Nurture yourself during this period and make time to honour yourself, clearing space and making room for what you want to bring in.
Then as the cycle moves forward and the season changes to spring you will give birth to a new you and this will bring a reminder your inner light never stops shining.
Happy Winter Solstice!
